Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients
- 4 large green bell peppers
- 15 oz tomato sauce
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1/3 cup chopped white onion
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
- 1/3 cup dry white rice
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Cook the white rice.
- Cut off the tops of the peppers and remove the seeds.
- Place the peppers in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3 minutes.
- Drain the peppers, rinse them with cool water, and set them aside.
- In a skillet, heat the ground beef and onion and cook until browned. Drain the remaining liquid.
- Combine the cooked ground beef and onion with the salt, pepper, rice, garlic powder, and 8oz of the tomato sauce.
- Spoon the mixture into the peppers, then top with the remaining tomato sauce.
- Bake in an ungreased dish for 25-30 minutes.
